Certified Domestic Violence Counselor (CDVC) Online Certification Course

NAFC will be offering CDVC online certification courses every month. There is a limit of six (6) participants per class. Registration is on a first come/first serve basis. More dates will be listed as they are scheduled.


REQUIREMENTS

Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor or non-clinical Certified Domestic Violence Counselor certification will be awarded to each participant who:

  1. Meet all NAFC certification requirements for clinical or non-clinical level certification (requirements can be found here or within the certification application);
  2. Successfully completes all classes in their entirety;
  3. Passes a scheduled oral examination given at the end of the certification course;
  4. Each Participant must submit a letter of intent with their application as to why the student feels compelled to earn this certification.

This course is designed for counselors,social workers, and therapists who work with victims, perpetrators, Probation and Parole professionals who desire to become more proficient surrounding Intimate Partner Violence.

DATES
May 2021 course dates are May 14th, 21st, and 28th, with a scheduled Oral Exams on June 4th. If you would like to schedule your oral exam on an earlier or later date, please let your instructor know.


FEE
The online certification course fee is $650 and includes ZOOM training, all necessary materials, application processing fee, examination fee, and first year certification fee.
